PIC Ion Chip Design Released
The first integrated layout for Pathfinder’s photonic ion-trap chip on 138Ba+: waveguide routing, on-chip collection optics, and the material stack. The write-up and CAD design of the model are now publicly available.

Literature and Lab Visits
In order to get to the cutting edge of the industry, we reviewed the published literature on experimental atomic physics and visited labs across Europe to learn directly from experts in the field. Special thanks to Dr. Florian Schreck and Dr. Dylan Sabulsky for the lab tours, and to Dr. Jekabs Romans and many other researchers at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, AQT, and Quantinuum for their ongoing correspondence.
